Anna Eleanor Roosevelt was an American political figure, diplomat and activist. She served as the First Lady of the United States from March 1933 to April 1945 during her husband President Franklin D. Roosevelt's four terms in office, making her the longest serving First Lady of the United States.

Eleanor was a face for change during a time of civil strife, world war, and the civil rights-movement was a glimmer in the eye. Fought her husband to do right, such as insisting that African-Americans should get the same benefit from the New Deal program just like the white Americans.
Also, in 1934 she played the political lobbying game to get through anti-lynching legislation ( Costigan-Wagner Bill) through.
What she should be and what she is known for was a rebel rouser and an innovator of politics before her time.
